I sold one of my Vintage Doilies in my store at Cortex Street Emporium in Prescott, Az. I was so excited for Doilies are one of those lost Arts today. My purpose now is to show that they can be a REDISCOVERED ART FORM with TODAYS FASHIONS in CLOTHING, JEWELRY and in HOME DECOR! Here is my latest macrame jewelry piece: Macrame Choker. I am getting my home ready for Thanksgiving and I am decorating with Doilies and Beads! Here is my newest macrame necklace! I enjoyed working on this one due to the Unique Meaning of the Knots! BeadJeweled is a nickname for our Bead Projects. Here we will share photos and some How-To's in the Art of Creating Jewelry and accessories with Macrame or Crochet! My BeadJeweled Project for the month of October! PROSPERITY NECKLACE Display your favorite Pendant with this Elegant necklace pattern. It combines a centrally placed prosperity knot balanced by coin knots on either side, separated by Tunisian Antique Metalized(look like metal) Beads. The Prosperity Macrame knot has the appearance of a sequence of double coin knots. In China the double coin knot represents long life and prosperity as its shape represents two overlapping coins. It has been almost a year now since I retired from full-time Line-Cooking. I have had the time to get out those books with projects I have always wanted to make. I have been learning the Art of Macrame again! I dabled with plant hangers and Owls and such years ago when my Mom encouraged me to try. Now I am finding that Macrame is coming back as an Art with the Jewelry Making Artists! Belts/Braclets/Earrings/Keychains and etc. all done in MINITATURE MACRAME KNOTS ! Chris and I don't " seed" or "highgrade" our videos. We had just detected a bucket of material on a board, and flipped our readings in the  pan without looking to see what they were. That pan surprised us as much as it does our viewers! Raspberry Frozen Yogurt This frozen yogurt, exotically flavored with rose water, is much lower in sugar than store-bought frozen yogurt. Serve scoops on their own, or pile into sundae glasses with fresh fruit and mint. Serves 8 Ingredients: 1 pound raspberries 4 tablespoons seedless raspberry jam 2 tablespoons rose water (optional) 1 pound plain nonfat yogurt 3 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar, or to taste Raspberries for garnish Fresh mint for garnish Preparation: 1 Put the raspberries into a saucepan and add the raspberry jam. Warm over a low heat until the raspberries are pulpy, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. 2 Press the raspberries and their juice through a sieve into a bowl; discard the seeds in the sieve. Stir in the rose water, if using. Whisk in the yogurt until smoothly blended. PINEAPPLE UPSIDE-DOWN CAKE You can never go wrong with serving your guests a traditional family favorite! A colorful dessert, good either hot or cold. Preparation and cooking time: 1/1/4 hours Topping: 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar. 6 tablespoons of margarine. 1 can sliced pineapple, drained. Maraschino or candied cherries, cut in half. Cake: 1/2 cup margarine 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 cup self-rising flour For the topping, cream together the brown sugar and margarine and spread all over the base of an 8-inch round cake pan. Arrange the pineapple slices on top and place a half-cherry in the center of each. Prepare the cake batter by creaming together the margarine and the granulated sugar until light and soft. Beat in the eggs. Sift and fold in the flour. Carefully pour over the pineapple and spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
