Christmas Bliss

Image
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS AND MY FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS HERE AND ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE! I found a Tablescape for the Holidays I have to share with you  From ELLE DECOR!! TABLESCAPE TIPS Interior designer  Brian J. McCarthy  loves to entertain. And whether it's a detailed celebration planned months in advance or a dinner party pulled together the day-of, setting the table always comes first. Here, he shows us how he sets up for a holiday party with a look inspired by his interiors and his guests.   Avoid obtrusive centerpieces. If your flower arrangement is so elaborately large that you can't see the guests across the table, then it's time to downsize.  McCarthy adores this glass tree sculpture he found in Paris. It's tall, but its translucence allows for cross-table conversations. STEP 1: BRING IN A COLORFUL TABLECLOTH For the holidays, start with a backdrop of color.  Here, McCarthy opts for a deep plum tablecloth that ri...

Declutter, Downsize, Getting Ready For The Holidays

Image
Already it is time to think about the Holidays A-Coming!  No matter what you call it, Declutter-Downsizing, Detash, Garage Sale, Organize, it all means WORK! I found an article from Home and Gardens that gives some Great 15 Minute Organizing Ideas! I love the Fall Season! I get out my favorite sweaters and pick one to wear and sit out on my porch with a Good Cup of Hazelnut Coffee. I have been watching the birds. They are clearly preparing for winter, gathering this and that. The photo above shows our house during a good winter a few years ago. We put together a calendar that year! I won't be enjoying the porch too much longer for we are preparing to move in a few months. My husband and I are REALLY DOWNSIZING for this for we have a Travel Trailer to live in. We are using it for about 6 months out on my husbands Gold Mining Claim here in Az. Saving up as much money as we can so that we will have enough funds to put down on a place to rent or buy. Our Mining Claim Blog is: Gold Bud...

I always try to mix it up with some Sentimental & Collectible with my Fiber Art Works. In the background is my Coco-Cola Puzzle from the 80's. In front is a large glass flower vase given to me by my son. I anticipate a Beautiful Flower arrangement coming from my husband! On top of the vase stands a little Victorian Mouse Pod made by my Mother years ago. I put a Vintage glass bead strand from India across the vase. In front of vase is a little Grandma Plaque given to me from my Granddaughter last year for Valentine's Day. The l...

Custom Order from NORWAY!

Image
Want to see a macrame curtain made from the start? Here is my current project! A custom order from Norway! Macrame Curtain Valance Size 5 Ft 5 Inches Wide by 4 Ft 11 Inches in Length I am using a Modern Rope/Cord in a JUTE COLOR. I will be Beading it as well! ENJOY THE PROGRESS PHOTOS! BE CAREFUL! YOU DON'T WANT TO GET CAUGHT UP IN YOUR WORK! I cut 102 ropes and used square knots to attach to the wooden dowels. I used two wooden dowels because it makes for easier removal of the top loops. In my Macrame Lessons I tell how to estimate the length of ropes needed for a project.  In three days I have got to the point of Beading the top arch. I will continue the top arch another 6 inches on each side along with keeping the Square knot weave around the beaded section. Follow my PDF Macrame Lessons on how-to's of Macrame! FINAL PHOTO! Thanks for visiting! Follow me on Facebook Cindy

Repurposed Home Decor

Image
Well I have seen a lot of different things "repurposed" in my day but not as Unique as this! From the Ellie Decor magazine. A collector of old water cans, I and with the help of my husband made a "Watercan Waterfall" in my wooden barrel planter last year. Now this was my first Video.  Need some Vintage Beads? They were intended for Macrame years ago. I reused a few in a Unique Way. A Fish Bowl! Create a little Serenity! To see more of my Vintage Supplies go to my Facebook Business Page called Craft Flaire. Thanks for Visiting! Cindy from Craft Flaire.
