Since I started this blog I have been trying to narrow down what it is that makes this blog Special!
So I re-read my posts over the last two years and found that WHAT INSPIRES ME  Gives Blogging Material to share with YOU!

Yes we have a new Grandson, Leyland!


                                                  I got a Jack Demsey Fish this year!
 We had a Reunion this year in Laughlin, Nevada,  with my husbands Daughter, Allyson and her husband, Homer from New York who we had not seen in over fifteen years!
 Our son, Chris, was reunited with his son, Johnathon, after 18 years!  He was two in this photo.
 Buddy, my husband, got the Gold Claim he wanted for 15 years!

Our Grandchildren, from the left, Zoey, Warren and Alexis!  Our daughter, Brandy and her husband, Dewayne moved back to Prescott Valley this year to live closer to us!!  Asked them to make faces! LOL!

My wife asked me one time if I would build a set of shelves in the living room to be used as a library and sewing center. After about 12 years of experiencing my failure as a carpenter, she still had faith in me. Maybe she thought if I keep trying, I'll get it right one of these times............................................. I tried to remind her of my past accomplishments, like the very first set of shelves I built. The shelves came out alright, but I didn't have a sawhorse, and the only room in the trailer that wasn't carpeted was the bathroom. I didn't want sawdust to get in the rug, so I used the John as a sawhorse. You guessed it, cut the John in Half!............................................ TOFFEE APPLE PUDDING

TOFFEE APPLE PUDDING from Sweet Success Cookbook . 1 large cooking apple 1/3 cup light corn syrup 3/4 cup margarine 3/4 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour Grease a large mold. Peel, core and slice the apple. Arrange the slices on the bottom of the mold and pour the corn syrup over them. Cream the margarine and sugar until pale-colored and soft. Beat the eggs and add them gradually, mixing well. Fold in the flour. Spread the batter over the apples. Cover the mold with wax paper or foil and wrap in a clean cloth. Place on a trivet in a heavy kettle over boiling water. Cover and steam for two hours, adding water to the kettle if necessary, until sponge mixture is cooked. Turn out onto a warm plate and serve with additional corn syrup or custard sauce. The pudding has a toffee-tasting topping.
